Therapeutic Approach
Working as a psychologist for over 25 years has taught me much about life and the struggles we all face. I have observed over and over how life's difficulties -- especially the most painful ones -- can truly help a person grow. It is an opportunity to tap into deep reserves of strength and emerge a stronger, happier person. I am honored to be part of this life-changing process that unfolds during psychotherapy.
I believe psychotherapy is an interactive process between the psychologist and client. It requires commitment and a desire to change. My particular style has been described as a warm, supporting and compassionate approach that includes humor, questioning, and challenging when appropriate.
Trained in both traditional psychodynamic theory and practice as well as cognitive-behavioral therapy and practice, I consider myself a seasoned professional.
